Acupuncture for severe menopause symptoms – hot flushes, night sweats, aching bones, headaches
I went along for my first session with Toni on the 18th March and booked weekly sessions. After the second session, no night sweats – so very pleased! After fourth session, aching bones very rare and headaches getting fewer. After sixth session, no hot flushes, no aching bones, no headaches – it’s fab!
Have given up caffeine, eat healthier and incorporate more exercise. Do still suffer with tiredness and low mood
Since the beginning of July 2019, I have had 10 sessions (now fortnightly) and still have no symptoms, feel so much better than when I first started with Toni.
Toni also helped with heavy legs I had and with one session this feeling dispersed – thank you so much Toni!

You have saved my life by saving my bladder!
I was in such a terrible place when I first called you just over three months ago. I had an almost constant feeling of bladder urgency after getting a UTI in January this year. I tried conventional medicine/antibiotics that barely made a difference and may have made it worse. The only time I started to feel relief from the symptoms was after my first appointment with you in February.
Things were so bad before I saw you that I nearly lost my job and I could barely leave the house.
Since our first appointment I have continued to slowly improve and over the last month I have experienced even more rapid improvement. So much so that I am now back at work and my symptoms have greatly reduced. I am able to enjoy life again.

A review on my Acupuncture treatment for bladder pain
When I first contacted Toni at Berkshire health clinic I was at a very low point, suffering from recurring bladder pain (due to suspected interstitial cystitis) along with constant acid reflux and feeling pretty miserable. Medication for bladder spasms was giving me some relief, along with some side effects! A search on the internet led me to the Berkshire Health Clinic in Maidenhead, so I decided on impulse to give acupuncture treatment a try.
As soon as I met Toni I was struck by her warmth and empathy, she really seemed to understand what I was going through. Although, as she explained, sometimes in some cases there was no cure for IC, she was confident that she could help me.
After the first session I was aware of feeling much more positive. Although my cystitis flared up a bit that night the pain only lasted for a day before subsiding. This is apparently very common and indicates that healing is taking place. Subsequent sessions continued to bring relief and the intervals between bladder flare-ups increased, to the point where I could forget about them and start to enjoy life again! I felt so much better both health wise, physically and mentally. There were slight occasional blips along the way e.g. during the cold weather when the bladder became more sensitive on occasions. However things would quickly settle again after an acupuncture session. The acid reflux persisted for longer but has also calmed down a lot over the past few weeks.
I have been having acupuncture for nearly 4 months now and feel like a different person from when I started. Toni tailors each treatment to my particular needs and I always feel supported and cared for during the sessions. Making that first phone call was one of the best decisions I ever made. I would definitely recommend acupuncture treatment for over active bladder/ repeated bacterial cystitis or IC to anyone thinking of giving it a go.

Acupuncture for IC
When I first made contact with Toni I was in a very low place: I was suffering from recurring cystitis but nothing was showing up in my urine tests. I had spent over £1,000 on procedures and tests that didn't find a root cause, and yet the pain, frequency and urgency continued to impact upon my daily life.
I got to a point where I thought I would have to give up the job I love as the commute was proving impossible with frequent bouts of cystitis. I came across Toni's work online through a medical journal article.
I started seeing Toni in March, and I am delighted to say that I have not suffered from cystitis since 13th February (it is now the end of May). Toni is so knowledgeable, professional, friendly and reassuring. I honestly thought that the rest of my life would be curtailed: missing out on theatre trips, sex, long flights, camping trips and lots of other things that the cystitis prevented me from enjoying.
Through my regular sessions with Toni and taking her advice on following an alkaline diet, I am now pain-free and loving being out of the dark shadow that cystitis was casting over my life: something I didn't feel would be possible a few months ago. My overall health and wellbeing has benefitted enormously.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Toni and her work. I cannot overestimate the positive change that it has made to my life and I will remain incredibly grateful.

Acupuncture for Infertility
‘My wife and I were trying to conceive for around 2 years and were recommended to go and see Toni after two mutual friends had both fell pregnant after receiving acupuncture treatment for failing to conceive, after being in a similar situation. On our first appointment, Toni was extremely comforting and reassuring given the sensitivity of the subject, which was the first time we had received this kind of approach, after having seen a few different professionals through the NHS. Acupuncture for recurrent urinary tract infections
In 2015 I was suffering from recurrent urinary tract infections and in between times the constant urge to go to the toilet. It was getting so bad that at times I couldn't last more than 15 minutes without the the urge to pee. It was painful, constantly on my mind and causing real problems at work and socially. I was getting very stressed thinking about living with this constant pain and urge to pee every day forever. I also got quite ill with a chest infection and the antibiotics I was taking caused bloating and inflammation. I was not in a good way.
A friend recommended Toni to me and after a couple of treatments I started to feel the benefit. After 6 months, I was back to my usual self and much happier. I haven't had a urine infection for nearly 15 months and don't need to worry anymore.
I now see Toni on a regular basis once every six weeks to keep everything under control. I also feel there have been additional health benefits from having the acupuncture. Generally I am a lot healthier and have more energy than before!

Acupuncture for back pain
Toni Tucker has recently concluded a 3 month term of treatment for my back very successfully.
I have had 2 laminectomies and 1 discectomy over 30 years, so as a result have had a very touch back. This is as a result of falling down and impacting the discs at the lower back on some brick steps in the 1970’s. Now I know what to do or not do, but very occasionally I do something which triggers off intense nerve pain and sciatica in my right leg, as on holiday this year.
Acupuncture is the only form of treatment which is successful and this is the 2 nd time in 5 years that Toni has helped me out successfully and I am most grateful to her!

Acupuncture for Induction of Labour
I was one week overdue and had had 2 stretch & sweeps
that hadn't had an effect although I was 2-3cm dilated so
I was keen to get labour progressing. The acupuncture treatment
on the evening of Sunday 25th Sept was very relaxing and
worked really well, my baby was 2/5 engaged before the treatment
and was fully engaged by the end!
The following morning I had a third stretch & sweep
and my labour began around an hour later (approx 1pm on
26th Sept). I had a very relaxed early stage labour at home
and after doing some walking and having a bath I went into
hospital at 2am on 27th Sept at 5cm dilated. I spent my
time at the hospital in the birthing pool and gave birth
to a healthy little girl (Lily 7lb2oz) at 5:47am on Tuesday
27th September. I managed the labour without pain relief
and had no tearing/stitches!

Treatment for Interstitial Cystitis
I suffered from the debilitating condition of Interstitial
Cystitis for a few years. Through the internet, I found
a local Practitioner who specialised in this field through
treatment with traditional acupuncture.
My acupuncture treatment for interstitial cystitis started
two and half years ago and has been very successful. Toni
is a very professional and knowledgeable practitioner. I
felt very comfortable and at ease in the clinic. The clinic
offers a place of calm and warmth. I continue to have acupuncture
every few weeks, as I feel it helps with my sense of wellbeing.

Acupuncture for Depression
I have had early menopause for more than three years.
I have been suffering from depression for around 2 years.
I had help from the NHS but with no improvement in my symptoms.
I felt so low and depressed and had suicidal thoughts. I
had no appetite, and was having trouble sleeping.

Feedback for the treatment of Interstitial Cystitis
It is hard to put into words all you have done for me, and in turn my family. At best, I had hoped that you would be able to take some of my chronic pelvic/bladder pain away so that I could just function on a basic level and not be bed bound, house bound and constantly fatigued. However, meeting you has completely changed my outlook on life and my family’s future, because I am not in constant pain anymore.
I now wake with a smile on my face and no longer dread the day ahead, just praying to get through to the end of the day. I adore my children but it has been truly heartbreaking that I could not pick them up and hold them close due to the pain. However, I can now happily swing them around and enjoy simple pleasures of playing with them and being the mummy I want and have longed to be for so long. You have changed the course of my life to a route of happiness that I never thought I would travel down.

Acupuncture for Interstitial Cystitis
I have been receiving acupuncture treatments from Toni since January 2014. I was in bad way emotionally and physically. I had been diagnosed with IC (interstitial cystitis) and the doctors had not been much help, so wanted to try acupuncture. From the first treatment I felt better emotionally and Toni is lovely and put me at ease straight away. I continue to have less pain in my bladder after each treatment, and I am now more or less pain-free and no longer have the urethral pain.
The treatments are so relaxing and you always come away feeling positive. I am very grateful to Toni and will continue to go for treatments because I have received many positive benefits and reduction in IC symptoms.

Acupuncture for Interstitial Cystitis
I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis four years ago.
I ran the gauntlet of NHS and private therapies to no avail
and it was during a particularly bad ‘flare’
(all who have experienced IC will be aware of the pain involved)
that I searched frantically on the internet for someone
to help me. I refused to believe that there was nothing
that could be done. Toni Tucker’s name
kept appearing and as her testimonials seemed to offer some
hope I emailed and she replied, practically by return.
I know very little about acupuncture and had no expectations
of its efficacy. Toni’s clinic is beautifully
calm and her expertise, and professionalism and obvious
knowledge and skills are apparent from the outset.
She assured me that she could help and that I would feel immeasurably better but countered that by stating that she couldn’t ‘cure’ me as IC is incurable. Initially I felt no distinct improvement. I was also medicating with strong pain relief which I was trying to reduce on Toni’s advice as it would hinder the body’s ability to heal. However two thirds of the way through and barely perceptibly I began to feel that I could go do all sorts of things denied to me during the last four years. I had spent a lot of time curled up on the sofa not wanting to get involved in life, worrying about my dependency on my husband and in constant pain. My medication is now on its lowest ever level and I am even thinking that I can do without it completely! I am eating and drinking normally, although I am still a little wary of alcohol, my symptoms are barely there . I am unable to express how grateful I am, to Toni, for giving me the confidence and health to enjoy the next part of my life . I am continuing see Toni till my immune system is nearly and fully repaired.

Interstitial Cystitis
I had been suffering from Interstitial Cystitis, which is
completely debilitating. Chronic Bad health has devastating
effects on emotional wellbeing, so restoration of good health
is conversely immensely therapeutic, plus each acupuncture
session was like a stress buster!
I tried everything western medicine had to offer before
I found Toni, and nothing had worked. After a course of
treatment I am now symptom-free, which I believe is entirely
due to acupuncture. Acupuncture was 100% successful whereas
western medicine was 0%. I would recommend Toni to everyone
any anyone!

Successful acupuncture treatment for repeated bacterial cystitis
I am 29 years old and have been suffering with recurrent bladder infections for 13 years. Each time an episode occurred, I was advised to take antibiotics by my doctor but they kept coming back. At my worst point I was having two attacks a month. It wasn’t clear as to the cause of the infections however sexual intercourse was a common contributor. I underwent two bladder cystoscopies in hospital yet nothing could be found to explain why I was having them.
On advice from a friend, I decided to look into acupuncture as an alternative treatment and I came across Toni Tucker in a newspaper article, about specialising in bladder disorders/bacterial cystitis. I went along to see her at The Berkshire Health Clinic in Maidenhead. After my first session which involved a consultation and a treatment I felt completely at ease, not only with the treatment itself but having the relief and knowledge that I wasn’t alone, as many others who have had treatment from Toni at The Berkshire Health Clinic have been relieved of their symptoms and the occurrences.
Toni got to work on building up my immune system, which had been affected from the years of taking antibiotics, in order to help my body deal with bacteria. During this time, she advised me and my husband to use contraceptives so as not to cause any irritation and consequently a bladder infection. Just by changing this, I was able to have intercourse without any problems. The more sessions I had the more I felt my body reacting to the acupuncture in a positive way. Having only had one infection in around 5 months I am now able to have intercourse without any contraceptives. I continue to see Toni in the hope to improve things further and prepare myself for the possibility of starting a family.
I was at my lowest point with my bladder infections when I decided to turn to acupuncture and looking back now I wish I had done it sooner. I have seen the results for myself and I can now see how it has changed my life for the better and has given me hope. Toni Tucker and the work that she does has been instrumental in this positive change in my life and I can’t thank her enough.

Cystitis & Overactive Bladder
After many years of visits to Consultant gynaecologist regarding
Cystitis & overactive bladder, which resulted in three
bladder stretches, lots of intense pain, followed by lots
of pain killers, and endless courses of the latest antibiotics
which never seemed to solve the basic problem.
The last Consultant I went to see at the Independent Hospital
Reading, was Mr Foley who said there were a few options
I could try, most of which I had already endured, he suggested
I try Acupuncture, as he was recommending difficult cases
to a very accomplished Acupuncturist Toni Tucker at her
Berkshire Health Clinic.
I contacted Toni, such a sweet, friendly lady who put
me at ease straight away, I began the treatment sessions
and gradually the pain and the condition began to disappear,
such that I have made a full recovery.
Unfortunately about a year ago I lost the sight in my
right eye due to a blood clot in the artery feeding the
eye. The Doctors conclusion was that I would never see anything
in that eye again.
I contacted Toni Tucker who fitted us in the same day,
as it was important to start treatment as quickly as possible,
to prevent the blood clot damaging the back of my eye (retina),
and after 2 sessions I got my sight partially back and eventually,
I could see to the front and one side, with a slight shadow
remaining on the other side of my eye. My eye is improving
all the time.

Pregnancy and Interstitial Cystitis
I first attended the clinic last year 2011 after suffering from frequent bladder infections and 2 miscarriages. I went to have weekly treatment with Toni which helped me greatly and after about 2months I became pregnant again and I had further treatment weekly with Toni to help sustain my pregnancy and I am delighted to say I am now 38weeks pregnant, thanks to Toni with the help of the acupuncture.

I suffered from repeated bacterial cystitis for 2 - 3 years.
Since receiving acupuncture for bladder infections, I have been able to come off antibiotics. Over the course of the sessions (3 months) I have been in a lot less pain with my bladder and have not had cystitis for the last few months. It has been a gradual change but a huge change and improvement from when I first visited Toni. I am now symptom-free and have decided to continue seeing Toni every 3 months to ensure my immune system remains on a high note.!

Interstitial Cystitis
I started seeing Toni in the very early stages of my pregnancy as I had not long before found I was suffering from the condition IC.
It was such a relief to find Toni, she helped me through my entire pregnancy and without her help I would not have been able to cope. I saw her once a week throughout and the acupuncture treatment I received helped to manage my IC symptoms but I also benefitted from general well being.
Following my successful pregnancy I feel a lot better and my symptoms have lessened.
I am continuing treatment with Toni on an adhoc basis to help manage any few symptoms of IC that I have. I am so appreciative of all the help she have me and would recommend anyone suffering from similar problems to seek her help.

Interstitial Cystitis
I first started to experience the symptoms of Interstitial Cystitis 5 years ago. I got a urine infection that effectively never went away. I ended up doing a self diagnosis on the web as I was ignored for nearly 18 months after being told I didn’t have any signs of bacteria and I was just stressed. My bladder was sore and bleeding and I was in constant pain with burning and frequency. My life was over as I knew it and nobody seemed to want to help me.
Eventually, I made such a fuss they gave me a cystoscopy, which confirmed my suspicions. There was no treatment though and I became depressed and withdrawn.
After a lot of research, I travelled to the USA to see a nutritionist specialising in IC. I got a lot more comfortable but 5 years on, the programme didn’t get me past a certain level of pain and urgency. I couldn’t shake it off. It was then I found Toni Tucker. I was very sceptical as I have managed this disease for a long time now, but I was desperate to feel better. I have now had 7 sessions of acupuncture with Toni, and it has really brought me in to balance. After the first couple of sessions, I had a day after the treatment of feeling slightly worse, which decreased as the time went on. My urgency now is much improved, and my bladder which is usually constantly ‘sore’ feels so much better. I am really pleased with the results and it was lovely to talk to someone face to face who is so knowledgeable about the disease. That in itself was a relief as so many urologists don’t have a clue!
I am really glad I found Toni when I did…as I had all but given up on ever feeling normal. An added bonus of the treatment is that you feel more energised, and even my sinus’s which have been blocked for the last 2 years have cleared. I am so glad I don’t have to take mountains of supplements anymore, and I also eat what I like without my bladder becoming inflamed and sore. I am so grateful to Toni for her expertise, her good nature and for helping me getting my life back, I can’t recommend her enough

Acupuncture for IC

I would like to encourage anyone with IC to try acupuncture.
I have benefited hugely. I am off mostly all of my medication,and
am virtually sympton free now. I had tried various other
treatments, but nothing came close to the positive effect
of the acupuncture. I now no longer have urine infections,as
it has boosted my immune system as well.

Acupuncture Treatment for IC and Hypertension
Toni has been treating me for interstitial cystitis very
successfully for several months. My symptoms stared to improve
soon after treatment started and I am now able to lead a
normal life. It is such a relief to be able to sleep through
the night, travel and have a social life again.
As Toni treats holistically, she was also concerned about
my hypertension and has been treating this during our sessions.
My blood pressure has definitely improved.
On a recent session I mentioned that I was concerned that
my glaucoma was getting worse and the medication I was taking
did not seem to be reducing the eye pressures. She began
to treat me for this too and my eye pressure was found to
be substantially reduced on my last visit to the hospital.

Acupuncture for IC
About 7 weeks ago all I wanted was to die! I even
attempted to write my suicide note. I was so bad; I didn't
enjoy life any more. I was stuck at home with pain. I am
newly married and I couldn't even be intimate with my husband.
I couldn't travel or go out with my friends. As a social
butterfly I was always the one organising events..
This horrible illness had stopped all that good life. I
have tried everything,installations,herbal stuff ,elmiron
aloe vera etc but nothing helped Then I started having Acupuncture
with Tony Tucker .She is amazing .I have only had 5 treatments
with her ,I have to add price is very reasonable ,I am 60%
better already. I almost got my life back. She is full of
knowledge about the IC. Finally I am being treated by someone
who understands. She is great friendly, kind and magical
with her hands and needles!
I am writing this because I know how bad it gets and I
want other IC sufferers to know there is hope; you can have
your life back. I am another living proof of it.

IC and Pregnancy
I first starting acupuncture treatment with Toni about five
years ago, after being diagnosed with interstitial cysistis.
I started out with an exclusion diet, this helped a little
but just a little and then the consultant suggested I try
acupuncture with Toni. After just a couple of treatments
things were much improved - the pain associated with the
condition was gone and frequency of needing to go was much
reduced, sometimes I'd even get through a whole night without
waking up to go. I felt like a new person and was able to
re-introduce much of the food I'd excluded.
I've continued acupuncture on and off with Toni ever since
- going back as and when symptoms start up again. Toni has
also treated me through two pregnancies, combining her experience
in both acupuncture and midwifery. I found acupuncture espec
beneficial in my second pregnancy, i felt very naueous and
exhausted and it helped re-energise me. I also had two very
straightforward and quick 'natural' delieveries and I'm
confident that treatments with Toni in the weeks prior contributed
to this.

Acupuncture for Infertility
I first came to see Toni on the back of a recommendation from a friend after trying for a baby for a year with no luck. My periods were irregular and hormones unbalanced as a result of suspected polycystic ovaries. After just one month of weekly sessions my period became regular, temperature balanced and skin cleared up. After just 8 weeks of sessions with Toni I was pregnant! I will be recommending Toni's services to all of my friends and family, not only is it a great way to get away from it all and relax - it really works. Painful Bladder Syndrome
At the age of 21 I was diagnosed with Painful Bladder Syndrome. After two years of pain, invasive investigations, multiple medications, painful bladder installations and a bladder stretch I was told by my Urology consultant that he could recommend no further treatment and his advice was to continue with the daily strong pain medication.
Thank goodness I found out about Toni Tucker. After just two acupuncture sessions the pain was significantly reduced and I was able to drastically cut down the amount of pain medication I was taking. Toni has helped me to get back to university and take up my studies once more.
I am so grateful for Toni Tuckers skills and care, her treatment is working for me when all else has failed. I would recommend her to anyone suffering from this painful and debilitating condition

Induction of labour

Acupuncture for Morning Sickness

Acupuncture for Overdue pregnancy
I went to see Toni as I was 8 days overdue with my
pregnancy and had been told by my midwifery team that the baby was lying back to back and my cervix was posterior closed I need to see the consultant for assessment and induction of my labour , I became very apprehensive and the thought of not being able to have a natural birth , through recommendation and my own search I went to see Toni a midwife and acupuncturist with years of experience in this field , great decision after 2 sessions I was so relaxed and my contractions kicked in.
I didn't need to see the consultant after all. I went into spontaneous labour after two sessions of acupuncture and delivered naturally a beautiful baby girl. I couldn't believe it when I arrived and the midwife said I was 6 centimetres dilated and baby had turned to a correct position!!
I am absolutely amazed and still in shock as I didn't think it would happen naturally. I can't thank you enough for your help. Your acupuncture treatment to help me with my labour worked wonders for us.

My acupuncture treatment for pelvic pain affecting my bladder
During the delivery of my daughter in 2012 I suffered what was called a third degree tear. Since then I have been suffering from pain in the area of my pelvic floor. The pain affected my bladder and I started having problems with not being able to empty my bladder and a constant pain inside my bladder. My life after having a baby was intolerable. Medications and local applications did not help me. I was in constant pain which was affecting my whole life.
Following my search of the internet, I went to the Berkshire Health Clinic and I met Toni Tucker who as an experienced midwife and acupuncturist, is well known for her expertise in treating bladder problems and pelvic pain.
I had 8 sessions of acupuncture treatment and my goodness it was so effective. Throughout the weeks my symptoms have progressively improved and I now have no bladder symptoms and no pain. I am resuming a normal lifestyle and emotionally positive about my future.
I really would like to rate the traditional acupuncture I received from Toni, well above the western medicine that I was given. Thank you Toni.

IC and Bladder Problems
I was ill with painful bladder syndrome, chronic cystitis, pelvic floor dysfunction and was at the end of my tether when I came across Toni. A friend, a pelvic floor physio named Maria Elliot, mentioned that many of her patients had been treated by Toni and that they had got immeasurably better. After calling Toni, she set up an appointment in London and assured me that I would get better, that I was in safe hands. From that moment on I felt completely cared for. Toni's knowledge of acupuncture is so profound that she assessed my body and after the first treatment with her I started feeling better. The process is not simple and it does take time, but all the while it is a pleasure to visit the clinic in Maidenhead, that has such healing energy. If it wasn't for Toni, I don't know what I would have done. Emotionally she saved me 100%!
Toni works hard for her patients and her technique is both effective and unique. Slowly through acupuncture my body regained it's natural balance of energy and the pain in the bladder lessened, my infections stopped, my immune system became stronger and finally my pelvic floor pain was greatly reduced. I am still healing to date but I feel I am 90% there.

Bladder Pain
I had been suffering with constant bladder pain and frequency
for nearly two years, caused by recurrent infections. I
was at my wits end and no western medical route seemed to
help, in fact they made me worse and caused nasty side effects.

Bladder Problems
I have had acupuncture treatment with Toni on and off over the last seven years. I tried acupuncture for a frustrating bladder condition - I found it greatly alleviated the symptoms with some improvement noticeable after the first few sessions.
After some time I no longer required treatment as the treatment had eased the condition making it manageable. I've also appreciated the aid of acupuncture during three pregnancies - I've used it to help with tiredness, general wellbeing and once to induce labour.
I'd like to say a big thanks to Toni - the acupuncture treatment has made a great difference to my quality of life and it's delivered with such a warm and friendly welcome!

Treatment for Pregnancy Nausea
I was 7 weeks pregnant and really struggling with nausea
which I experienced all day and anxiety following two miscarriages.
This meant juggling my job and family, including a toddler
of 2.5yrs, extremely difficult to cope with.
Toni gave me four sessions of acupuncture which I found
significantly reduced my nausea and was extremely calming
and relaxing. Toni's blend of her background as a health
professional and her knowledge and expertise in the use
of this eastern chinese philosophy really suited my needs.
She is highly professional as well and kind and empathetic
and I would not hesitate to visit her for further treatment
or reccomend her acupuncture clinic.

Acupuncture During Pregnancy
Here are my thoughts on acupuncture during pregnancy. I got to the point where my back was so bad that I couldn't sit down without experiencing great pain. I didn't know what to do until a friend recommended Toni. Acupuncture not only helped me physically, but also emotionally as I was feeling incredibly helpless and pretty down about the situation. It was scary to think I was going to start motherhood in this sort of condition. After 3 sessions I felt a great deal better and far more positive about everything. Toni provided a light at the end of the tunnel!

I came to see Toni Tucker when I had gone over my due date with my second child and what a godsend it was. Having had a very difficult birth with my first child I was fully aware that preparation was important and was very anxious when I came to my due date only to find my cervix had not even started to dilate and that I was likely to need an induction. Within the short period that we had Toni helped my cervix open, relaxed me emotionally and I have no doubt in my mind played a very large part in helping me follow through with a natural pain relief free birth.
I really can't recommend her and the practise highly enough. If I were to do it all over again I would most definitely go and see Toni from as early on as possible.
Thankfully sometimes in life you are lucky enough to find truly great people at the point at which you need them and for me that was Toni Tucker and Dr Sarker, who delivered my daughter into the world and recommended Toni to me.

Acupuncture by Toni helped me to have natural conception
Acupuncture was also was very relaxing to me during my pregnancy. I had a dream of getting pregnant and obviously as it was my first time, I had no yard stick to measure it against.
I think acupuncture definitely helped me emotionally helped me to conceive as I was getting very stressed thinking that it was not going to happen!
I did not have any minor complaints of pregnancy, but always felt better after a session of acupuncture during my pregnancy.

Acupuncture saved me from another C section
I received acupuncture during the last three weeks of pregnancy. The acupuncture was relaxing and it was nice to take time out for oneself. I was lucky enough not to have too many complaints with pregnancy, but the acupuncture did seem to make the baby move around more!
Also I had a very long and complicated first labour 48 hours ending in a C-Section and the second pregnancy, with acupuncture, was smooth with no complications and no pain killers, resulting in a vaginal birth, I strongly feel that acupuncture helped and speeded up my labour.
Two very different experiences. I would recommend acupuncture in pregnancy to anyone, as I think it helped to prepare my body.

Acupuncture by Toni during my pregnancy was so good for relaxation and helped to initiate my labour
Acupuncture hugely helped me emotionally during my pregnancy. Labour happened a few days after treatment at full term as it was expected, I am sure and I felt that it definitely helped me to progress into labour and feel positive, relaxed and more confident about the experience. My labour was 9 hours and quite straightforward. I feel that acupuncture probably helped to shorten the length of the labour, and I would really love to come back and see you if I am lucky enough to get pregnant in the future.

Induction of Labour

I came to Toni very late on in my pregnancy (once I had
gone overdue) and it was without a doubt one of the best
things I ever did. What she achieved was quite incredible
and certainly without her (and an amazing obstetrician who
originally past on Toni\'s details) I would never have had
such a successful natural birth. I think all pregnant women
should be aware of what Toni can offer - it would change
so many aspects of the extraordinary journey that starts
with birth. I cant recommend Toni enough and thank her for
dedicating her time to helping us mothers.. you are doing
a wonderful thing! x

IVF / DENTAL PAIN
I first came to see Toni for fertiltiy as Iwas having IVF.
During one of my visits with Toni I had an abscess in my
lower wisdom tooth which was very painful, as i was in IVF
treatment I could not take the antibiotics that were prescribed
however Ii mentioned this to Toni and she did some acupunture
in that area and within in an hour the pain had reduced
and the next day I was virtually pain free.
I am continuing with my IVF treatment with Toni and is
helping me hugely, no side effects from the IVF medications
and very relaxing and calming treatment, great.

Results from Neck/Shoulder nerve problem
I'd been really suffering for 6-8 weeks with a trapped nerve
in my neck which affected both front and back shoulder area
and tingles down my left arm.
I tried sports massage, chiropracter visits and the paid
a visit to Toni - After one session a marked improvement;
after two sessions another remarkable improvement; after
three sessions I can hardly believe the results have been
amazing. I was very despondent before the visit as I could
not sit down and relax in a comfortable position. The relief
that I now have is incredible that I am 95% better.
I think Toni has worked miracles in curing this very painful
problem and I\'m delighted with the results. Acupuncture
is extremely relaxing and gives you a sense of wellbeing
from lots of angles and Toni is the best in the UK that
I know of.

General Health
One night I did something I hadn\'t done before - made my
way downstairs in the early hours of the morning for a drink.
And suddenly I found myself falling and hitting the wall
as I missed the last step. I got up, thought nothing of
it, had a drink and went to bed again.
For a few days I felt sore but carried on. Being a bowler,
I suddenly realised that it wasn't comfortable to continue
with my sport as I could not swing my right arm backwards.
As luck would have it, I read an article on Acupuncture
in the local paper - the Maidenhead Advertiser - and decided
to give it a try. So I phoned Toni's Clinic [then located
in Cookham] and made an appointment.
My husband accompanied me and he was having a joke at my
expense as I lay there, face down, with quite a number of
needles stuck in my lower back - wondering whether I looked
like a hedgehog!!
Well, it was all worthwhile as that one session alone resulted
in me being able to bend my arm and touch my back - hoorah.
I was sold on Acupuncture from then on, and have never looked
back. If I have any problems, I just go along to Toni and
she puts me right.

Acupuncture for bladder problems
I am new to acupuncture and have only had a few sessions.
Acupuncture differs form Western medicine in that it looks
at the whole person. GP\'s and Consultants rarely look beyond
one specific problem. I am already beginning to notice subtle
changes in my bladder and certainly a difference in my emotions
and approach to life. Treatment with Toni and acupuncture
has given me hope.
