What Happens On Your Visit To The Clinic

During a consultation, a full medical history will be taken in order for us to identify the cause of any problems or imbalances. From there a selection of points will be chosen. The acupuncture needles will be inserted at specific points known as acupuncture points which sit on a network of energy channels, known as meridians.

The choice of acupuncture points will be specific to each patient’s needs. The treatment is typically painless, however at times, but very rarely, there are elements of heaviness and soreness during the treatment. The needles are either withdrawn immediately of left in for 45 minutes, and generally there is a feeling of relaxation and tranquillity following the treatment.

Acupuncture Risks

The treatments are safe, as long as the practitioner is well- trained and has extensive knowledge, skills and experience in treating the patient’s needs.
